Membership Terms and Procedures

(1) Every person who possesses legal capacity and is full of the spirit and love of Karşıyaka has the right to become a member of the Sports Club.

(2) However;

Those who possess a bad reputation, Those who are convicted of a prison sentence due to a disgraceful crime, even if their sentences have been postponed or pardoned, Those who have been removed from membership by a decision of the Board of Directors, Those regarding whom a definitive expulsion decision has been rendered by the Disciplinary Board, Foreigners who do not possess the right of residence in Turkey, Those who are indebted to the Club regardless of the nature of the debt, Those who are banned from becoming members of clubs pursuant to a legal regulation, Those who are members, licensed athletes, and officials of another sports club operating in the same category in Turkish professional sports leagues (The rights of those who became members prior to the date the Statute came into force are reserved) cannot become members of Karşıyaka Sports Club.

(3) Membership application can be made via physical application or online membership application at the stage when its infrastructure is ready.

(4) Physical membership application is made by filling out the 'Membership Application Form' to be obtained from the Club, with the reference of two members who have completed 5 (five) years, 2 (two) photographs, a criminal record, and a letter of undertaking stating that one is not a member of another club, by applying to the Board of Directors. Members who act as references can act as references for a maximum of five members' applications within a calendar year. Regarding the application, an 'Application Receipt Certificate' is given to the applicant. The Board of Directors delivers the 'Membership Application Form' to the Registry Board within 5 (five) days in exchange for a 'Receipt Certificate'. The Registry Board investigates whether the application and its annexes comply with the provisions of the statute and hangs the application in the Club building for a period of 10 (ten) days or announces it on the official website of the Club. At the end of the 10 (ten)-day hanging period, the Registry Board examines whether there is a complaint about the candidate, whether the candidate previously left Club membership of his/her own accord or was removed, and whether there is any impediment to his/her admission to membership according to the Sports Clubs and Sports Federations Law No. 7405 and the Statute of Karşıyaka Sports Club; when necessary, by conducting an oral interview with the candidate, it reports the result of the examination it will conduct regarding the aforementioned person in writing to the Board of Directors within 5 (five) days. The Board of Directors decides regarding the membership application within 10 (ten) days following this notification. The decision made is notified to the relevant person in writing pursuant to the contact information registered in the membership application form.

(5) Online membership application is made by filling out the information within the scope of the 'Membership Application Form' to be obtained from the Club on the 'Online Membership' page located on the official website of the Club and uploading the necessary documents required in the physical application and membership application through the system. The application is decided upon by the sports club board of directors within 30 (thirty) days. The result is notified to the applicant in writing or via mail. The member whose application is accepted is recorded in the register to be kept for this purpose.

(6) If the Board of Directors does not decide on the membership within the 30 (thirty)-day period, the application is deemed rejected. In case of acceptance to membership, the membership procedure is completed with the candidate member paying the entrance fee.

(7) The membership of those who subsequently lose the qualifications required in the relevant legislation or statute for membership terminates automatically.

(8) The membership application can be rejected for a justified reason, except for the reasons shown in the statute.

(9) The General Assembly makes the final decision regarding objections to the acceptance or rejection of the application regarding admission to membership. The decision regarding admission to membership is discussed primarily on the agenda, and the relevant member cannot vote in the general assembly before the objection is decided upon.

(10) Changes regarding admission to membership and termination of membership are reported to the youth and sports provincial directorate where the headquarters is located within 30 (thirty) days.

(11) The number of people who can be accepted as members within a calendar year cannot exceed 3% (three percent) of the total number of club members reported to the Board of Directors by the Registry Board as of the end of the previous year.

Honorary Membership

(1) Persons who make significant moral contributions to the Club or athletes who have completed the age of 40 (forty) while their Club license continues and are national athletes can become Honorary Members with the written proposal of the High Advisory Board (Divan) and the decision of the Board of Directors, provided that they carry the characteristics specified in the relevant article of the statute. Honorary members who are not members of the Club have the right to attend the General Assembly and speak, but do not have the right to vote. Dues payments depend on their wishes.

(2) In Honorary Membership, up to 3 (three) people per year can be accepted as members outside the numerical limitation specified in the statute. The number remaining from this quota that cannot be used within that year cannot be transferred to the following year.

Honorary (Fahri) Membership

(1) Honorary (Fahri) Membership can be given to persons whose personality, love, and devotion to the Club are a source of pride, and to persons who make significant financial contributions to the Club, upon the written proposal of the High Advisory Board (Divan) and the decision of the Board of Directors. Honorary (Fahri) Members who are not members of the Club at the same time can attend the General Assembly, but they do not have voting rights. Dues payments depend on their wishes.

(2) In Honorary (Fahri) Membership, up to 3 (three) people per year can be accepted as members outside the numerical limitation specified in the statute. The number remaining from this quota that cannot be used within that year cannot be transferred to the following year.

Rights and Obligations of Members

(1) Club members are obliged to comply with the provisions of the relevant legislation and the Sports Club statute, as well as the decisions of the Sports Club organs, and to pay the membership dues, which will be determined annually by the General Assembly according to the principles specified in the Sports Club statute, on time.

(2) Club members have equal rights. Every member who has the right to participate in General Assembly meetings has the right to elect and be elected within the form and conditions stipulated in the statute. A member can take a role in only one of the Club organs elected by the General Assembly.

(3) Furthermore, every member is obliged;

a) To comply with the Club order and show loyalty to the Club, b) To fully fulfill the duties arising from membership titles within the framework of statute provisions, c) To make the contribution required for the realization of the purpose in all sporting and social activity areas of the Club, ç) To act in accordance with good faith rules in the fulfillment of obligations and duties, in the exercise of rights, and in the performance of debts, d) To comply with statute provisions and decisions taken by Club organs, e) To provide information and documents requested by the authorized organs of the Club.

(4) Club members cannot engage in statements and activities that will harm the reputation and fame of the Club's legal personality, other members, and important figures in its history, or directly or indirectly lead to the Club's economic damage or loss of personal reputation. For this purpose, every member is obliged to show respect towards the Club's legal personality and other members in accordance with generally accepted moral rules in society.

(5) The rights and obligations owned by a member terminate upon death.

Entrance Fee

The member entrance fee is determined by the General Assembly upon the proposal of the Board of Directors, provided that it is not less than 5 (five) times the annual dues. Those who become members of the Club pay the entrance fee in full. However; licensed amateur athletes of the Club can become members of the Club by paying 10% (ten percent) of the entrance fee. As of the date of adoption of the statute, this amount is 150.-TL. Entrance fee is not charged to those who become honorary and fahri members within the scope of the relevant statute articles. As of the effective date of the statute, the entrance fee is 1,500.-TL (ONE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED).

Annual Dues

Annual dues are determined by the Financial General Assembly upon the proposal of the Board of Directors, or by the Ordinary General Assembly in years when the Financial General Assembly is not held. It comes into force as of the following 1st (first) of January. Annual dues are paid until the end of the year to which they belong at the latest. As of the effective date of the statute, the annual dues are 300.-TL (THREE HUNDRED).

Resignation from Membership (Resignation)

(1) Every member has the right to resign from sports club membership by notifying in writing, without stating any reason. Membership resignation procedures can also be carried out via e-Devlet.

(2) The member's resignation petition is deemed concluded at the moment it reaches the board of directors. Withdrawal from membership does not terminate the member's accumulated debts to the sports club. In case those who resigned from membership re-apply to become members, if there are debts belonging to the period prior to the termination of their membership, such as dues and similar debts, all of these debts must be paid for the membership application to be evaluated.

(3) Those who leave the sports club are erased from the member registry book and cannot claim rights to the property of the sports club.

Removal from Membership

(1) Cases requiring removal from sports club membership are listed below:

a) Having lost the conditions of becoming a member, b) Having at least 6 years of dues debt and not paying the membership dues within 30 (thirty) days despite written warnings, c) Not complying with decisions rendered by Club organs, ç) Committing crimes that require definitive expulsion from the Club or are specified in the relevant articles according to the Law and Sports club statute provisions, d) Those who cause financial and moral damage to the Club by openly obstructing the interests and activities of the Club or by committing acts such as insults to persons holding positions in the Club's organs, or abusing their duties and powers, or failing to make attempts to prevent the abuse of duties and powers despite having duty responsibilities and powers.

(2) Of these exhaustively listed cases; in cases listed in items a, c, ç, and d, the relevant person is referred to the Disciplinary Board by the Board of Directors. The Disciplinary Board gives its decision as a result of the examination it will conduct. In the case shown in item (b), if no result can be obtained from notices to be sent to the address, e-mail, or phone reported by the relevant person by the Registry Board, payment time is granted with an announcement to be published on the Club web page during the payment period. At the end of the period, upon the proposal of the Registry Board, a decision regarding removal from membership is made by the Board of Directors. Removal decisions from membership are announced by the Board of Directors through appropriate means, and this decision is separately served to the relevant person by the Board of Directors. Those removed from the Sports Club are erased from the member registry book and cannot claim rights to the property of the Sports Club.

(3) In case of re-admission to membership, in the calculation of the membership period; the period between the period when membership ended due to resignation or removal and the period when he/she became a member again is not taken into account.

(4) Except for members removed due to not paying dues debts, members removed from membership can never become members of the Club again in any way and cannot benefit from the facilities and activities of the Club.

(5) In case members removed from membership due to not paying dues debts re-apply to become members, for the evaluation of the membership application, all dues and similar debts belonging to all periods prior to the termination of their membership must be paid together with legal interest to accrue from the date they became due.
