Karşıyaka Sports Club Museum
The Karşıyaka Sports Club Historical Museum, which passes on the glorious history, deep-rooted values, and success stories of Karşıyaka Sports Club from 1912 to the present day to future generations, opened its doors to visitors with an enthusiastic ceremony held on January 19, 2023.
The museum houses information, documents, and photographs that primarily showcase Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's historical ties to the club, his two visits, and the invaluable notes he left in the club's guest book. Visitors can see trophies, plaques, period sports equipment, historical badges, flags, memorabilia, writings, and historical news clippings from the press, all bearing witness to the club's glorious history spanning over 110 years.
The Museum's Origins and Establishment
The rich collection displayed in the museum is primarily comprised of historical materials meticulously collected by the late Dr. Bülent Zeren in his own office, as well as objects added to the club archives by the KSK Executive Board, which he personally oversaw. Ekrem Güçsav, one of Karşıyaka's iconic figures, was also among the most important figures who spearheaded the museum's establishment process with his valuable contributions, classifications, and historical assessments.
